Tiny Hiker

As I gave Aubrey a hug goodbye she said to me “Am I still your ‘Tiny Dancer’ Aunty Sarah?”
To which I replied “You sure are Aubrey, but today you’re also my Tiny Hiker!”

She was a trooper and walked 4 of the 13km today.  For the little 4 year old, this was a tremendous effort.  From the car parking area we walked up the Mangorei Track, which steadily climbs up many steps, past the Pouakai Hut and on to the Pouakai Tarns (pools).

What a beautiful day! Stunning views down over the Ahukawakawa Swamp and up to Mount Taranaki.  Mt Taranaki was a little shy, but nicely dressed in some cool clouds!

The Tao is always at ease.
It overcomes without competing,

answers without speaking a word,
arrives without being summoned,
accomplishes without a plan.

Its net covers the whole universe.
And though its meshes are wide,
it doesn’t let a thing slip through.
